Today, from Hotel Acapulco we want you to recommend a very special festival for Lloret, because it explains the history of those Lloret de Mar inhabitants who left the city to go to America trying to get fortune. Some of them returned long after without having found the luck necessary to win. Some of them, but, made history and returned with many surprises, as the cocktail called “Daiquiri”, invented by one Lloret inhabitant.

Lloret celebrates this part of its history and it does with a yearly festival that this year will be celebrated from 13 to 15 June.

- At Verdaguer Promenade, Lloret will instal an “indian market” (the word “indian” or “americano” is referred to how the people called those returning from America after having found fortune).

- At Town Hall will be instaled a copy of la Floridita Bar in la Habana, where you can taste the famous Daiquiri.

- Workshops of salsa, bachata dominicana, latin and caribbean dances at the Town Hall.

- Theatrical performances by the company of Lloret, Quantus Teatre.

- Guided visits at the Sea Museum (Museu del Mar).

- Historic promenades by the “indian” Giants of Lloret de Mar.

- Latin music concerts each night, and “havaneres” on sunday night at the Town Hall.

- And a lot of activities for the youngest.
