Lloret de Mar is accessible to everybody

Lloret de Mar is accessible to everybody

Lloret de Mar looks for, more and more, a quality turism and accessible for everybody.

Today from Hotel Acapulco's blog we want to dedicate a post to the effort done by the city, along with MIFAS, to improve the accessibility, supressing architectural barriers and adapting spaces to offer attention to people with special needs.

This 2013, Lloret has received the Distinction in the cathegory of accessibility and breaking of architectural barriers, inside the program Blue Flag, gestioned by ONG Adeag.

In beaches of Lloret the effort has been strong to improve the accessibility of everybody but also to people with reduced mobility, adapting ramps, wood gangways, platforms to leave the wheelchair or baby chairs, offering the service of swimming using the amphibius chair, and place some buoys and life lines, building adapted WC in beaches and Touristic Market street, adapted showers with frontal seat and accessible buttons, and many other.

But also the streets, avenues and promenades of Lloret are been adapted, today almost 90% os Lloret is accessible.

We also want to put our two cents recommending an accessible route that will permit you to turn around all Lloret.

Leaving Hotel Acapulco we turn right, direction to Riera Street, and we follow it until we find Just Marlés Avenue. If we continue on your right, you'll get to the beach.

We follow the Beach Promeande to the end, in Sa Caleta. Here we must go back some meters and turn on our right by Pau Casals Avenue, and we go up until we find Vila de Tossa Avenue, where we turn on our left direction Blanes. Before arriving to the bus station, you'll see the Casino and the Theatre of Lloret, on your right.

Once in the station you'll see the Hotel Acapulco, in the middle of the hill. If you want you can go back to Hotel going up by Josep de Togores street, or following the same avenue until Fenals Neighbourhood where, if you turn on your left by America Avenue, you'll find Fenals beach.

From there you can go back to Hotel Acapulco going back by the same avenue and turning right by Costa de Carbonell street.

The bet for quality of our city allies with Hotel Acapulco aim to offer a quality service to all of you who want to visit us. You can also visit our flicker to know more about our disabled rooms:
